The redecoration works at Noble Court in 2025 have, for many of us, proved something of a disappointment, leaving rather more to be desired than one might reasonably have expected.
Historically, the internal decorating programme has included not only the communal areas, but also the doors to each flat and their corresponding frames. Yet, for reasons that remain unclear, last year’s works conspicuously omitted the exterior faces of all 40 flat doors, together with their frames.
The result is a rather curious—and frankly incongruous—juxtaposition of the newly decorated interiors with doors and frames that remain resolutely untouched. What might have been a cohesive and thoroughly finished scheme has instead been left feeling strangely incomplete.
Personally, I would have been more than happy to contribute an additional £40–£50 had it meant achieving a properly considered and complete finish throughout. It seems a small price to pay for the difference between a job that is merely done and one that is genuinely finished.
